This compact single cut ’n’ seal station is built into a transfer machine and turns out some 40 medical filters per minute. A precision guide, free from play, guides the sonotrode through a punch die, by which the 15 mm filter rounds are cut out of an endless strip and then welded into the plastic part. The generator is 500 W at an operating frequency of 36 kHz.

These TWIN stations, built into a rotary indexing machine, are used to make polyethylene aroma protection filters for coffee bags. The sonotrode cuts the 10 mm rounds from the filter strip and at the same time they are welded directly to the valve body. A tear-off unit provides for a reliable separation process with each cutting stroke.
Since the sonotrode does not experience any metallic contact, this has an optimum effect on the tool life of the cutter contour. With two TWIN units a production output of approx. 180 parts per minute can be achieved (45 strokes per minute). The generator output is 500 W at an operating frequency of 36 kHz.
